Application & Removal of Press-ons
Your nails will come in a box containing the following items:
- 10 hand painted press-on nails
- 1 instruction card for application and removal
- 1 nail glue
- 1 mini nail file
- 1 mini nail buffer
- 1 wooden cuticle stick
- 1 alcohol wipe
The instruction card appears like so:
With the following instructions:
How to apply
- Using the mini nail file, file your natural nails to a short length, making sure they’re all the same length
- Wipe and clean your natural nails with the prep & shine wipes
- Gently push your cuticles back with the orange stick
- Lightly buff your natural nails with the mini file
- If the press-ons are slightly too large for your nails, file down the bottom side of the press-on with the mini file. Or, if a press-on nail feels slightly too small for your finger, you can fill a mug with hot water and press the nail on the outside of the mug to make it more flexible
- One finger at a time, place a small amount of nail glue on your natural nail and the press-on, then place the press-on at a 45 degree angle and hold it for 30-40 seconds
- Avoid water exposure for up to 2 hours, as this will help the press-ons adhere better
How to remove
- Get a bowl and fill it up with warm water, soap, and an optional addition of olive oil
- Soak your fingers in the bowl for 10-15 minutes, occasionally swirling your fingers around
- Use the orange stick to carefully remove the press-ons. If a press-on isn’t coming off, don’t force it, just return to step 1
- With the mini file, buff off any glue residue left on your nails
- Gently clean and dry off the press-ons and store them so they can be reused :)
If needed, I have a tutorial titled “how to apply and remove press-on nails” on my YouTube channel @ellabnails
The nails can be reused multiple times if you take care of your nails whilst wearing and removing them, and when storing them after use.
To reuse the nails, you should gently buff the back of the press-on with the mini nail buffer to remove any remaining nail glue, and then you can reapply as usual.
